Infant Department

The Infant Department is made up of three classes, Chestnut, Oak and Rowan. Chestnut class is an open plan classroom with its own self-contained garden attached. Oak and Rowan classes are in the main school building and also have their own outdoor play area and multi-sensory room. All Infant classes provide personalised learning and holistic teaching based around pupils' individual needs.

Primary Department

The classes in the Primary Department remain with their teacher for most of the timetable, like mainstream primary schools. We deliver the full range of National Curriculum subjects through a topic based approach.

Secondary Department

In the Secondary Department the classes have daily contact with a class tutor, and specialised curriculum areas with other staff. This provides an educational experience similar to that in mainstream secondary schools.

We also have specialist accommodation for secondary aged pupils with social communication/interaction difficulties and other exceptional needs.

Pupils receive specialist support within the department and when possible, are supported to integrate them into the main Secondary Department.
