This is my final blog of this term.  It again, has been busy, but successful.

The toilets in the Primary Department have been completed and look great and are much improved from what was previously there.

Year 11’s are starting to finish course work and get ready for their exams. We wish them lots of luck for what will be a busy half term after Easter.

Next week, Rising Stars will be taking place. Lots of exciting activities are being planned for the afternoon.

Finally, I hope everyone has a lovely break when it arrives ( next Thursday).

Pupils return back to school on Monday 16th April.

My next blog will be on 20th April.

Wow, I can’t believe how quickly this term is going.

We had our first snow days of the year (very late and hopefully the last), which is never the easiest situation to manage, but again thank you to all those parents who were so supportive when we had to close for 2 days last week.

I am pleased to say that the Primary Department Toilets are almost complete. They are looking great and will certainly be a welcome addition to the department.

The pupils have been incredibly busy this term and in particular this week. We have had a number of trips and visits. We welcomed a Shakespeare company into school this week to work with Year 9 who have been studying the Tempest. Years 7, 8 and 9 have also been out of visits to support the work they have been doing in school. Theses visits have included Apuldram Church, Portchester Castle and the 1851 Trust in Portsmouth.  All pupils had a great time.

My next blog will be on 23rd March.

Welcome back to this half term.

The end of last half term saw an ex-pupil come into school to spend some time with primary PE. Gina is competing in the London Marathon this year and came in to put some of our pupils through their paces. Good Luck to Gina!!!

        Marathon

The weather next week looks like it could be very cold, with the possibility of snow. Can I please remind parents/carers to ensure their child comes into school with a warm coat.

My next blog will be 9th March.

I can’t really believe that we are only 1 week away from half term.

The pupils have been incredibly busy this term with lots of visits and activities in class.

In Primary pupils have been learning about the world. This week groups have been learning about China.

Last week KS4 pupils had a fantastic trip to the College Theatre to see James and the Giant Peach. A great time was had by everyone.

Secondary continue to be very busy. Year 11s are working hard with their KS4 coursework. There are a number of visits to support curriculum activities which I know pupils are looking forward to.
