Dear Parents/ Carers

I hope that you and your family have had a wonderful summer break. We are very much looking forward to welcoming back our pupils in September. I am writing to parents/carers just to remind you of the details for the first two weeks of term.

As you are aware a number of pupils have not attended school since the end of March. The return to school is a significant step for a number of pupils.

Whilst we hope that pupils will settle quickly, this will need very careful management and support to ensure that pupils feel safe and are able to adapt to some of the changes we have had to implement in school.

We have endeavoured to try and maintain an environment and curriculum that is familiar to your child, though changes with additional hand washing, social distancing, classroom set up and movement around school have had to be implemented.

I have again attached our plans and Frequently Asked Questions for our return in September. This will ensure that we can fully support your child’s transition back into full time education. A lot of planning and preparation has gone into our plans so that you, the children and our staff are confident to return.

We fully recognise that there will be some anxieties, this is inevitable after such a long period of absence. We will of course do all we can to allay any fears and support our children and staff on their return.

Should you require any school uniform, can I please request that it is ordered and paid for via Parent Mail. Once the school has received your order, then we will then contact you to arrange a convenient time to collect uniform from the office before the start of term. Please do not come into school to buy uniform without an appointment.

Thank you once again for your support and I am very much looking forward to welcoming your child to school in September. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

With very best wishes
Helen Ball, Headteacher
