Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the final week of this half term, I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to
you all on behalf of the staff and governors for all your support and good wishes. It is very
much appreciated by everyone.

As many of you will be aware we have a weather warning for potential snow on Sunday. This
potentially could pose some problems on Monday. Clearly this could change but it would seem
sensible to at least raise it with you.

Often these warnings do not materialise into anything but it would be remiss of us not to
consider the potential adverse weather.

If we need to close the school, various notices/information are posted on the following:

* Parent text system – If you would like to be contacted directly, can you please let the school
have your mobile number so that you can receive text messages.
*West Sussex County Council Website
*School Website

Over half term, the school will be required to be on call to track and trace should there be any
cases of COVID during the break. For the first six days after teaching ends, if a pupil or staff
member tests positive for Coronavirus having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being
in school, the school has been asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self isolation,
as the individual may have been infectious while they were in school.

The guidance says that, where a pupil or staff member tests positive for Coronavirus, having

developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should not be
contacted. In this instance, parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions
provided by NHS Test and Trace.

Should you need to contact the school to inform us of a positive COVID test, then you
should email myself at up until 18th February.

Thank you to those parents/carers who have sent in some pictures/videos of what pupils have
been learning whilst at home. It has been fantastic to see the range of activities and work
pupils have done. This is now on the website under home learning.

We would like to add to these regularly, so please keep sending pictures and videos to

With very best wishes

Helen Ball
