Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of this half term, can I please again thank everyone for their support. I
recognise how challenging this has been for all our families and children. Schools, unfortunately
will not be returning until 8th March at the earliest. We are waiting for the announcement for
further details, which I believe will be after half term.
For the first two weeks we will continue to use the rota system that we have this half term. Please see below. Updated pupil lists have been sent to transport. Should you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher in the first instance.
Can I also remind parents that over half term, the school are required to be on call to track and
trace should there be any cases of COVID during half term. For the first six days after teaching
ends, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus having developed symptoms
within 48 hours of being in school, the school has been asked to assist in identifying close
contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious while they
were in school.
The guidance says that, where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus, having
developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should not be
contacted. In this instance, parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions
provided by NHS Test and Trace.
Should you need to contact the school to inform us of a positive COVID test, then you
should email myself at email@example.com up until 18th February.
Can I also please remind parents/carers that school will be open tomorrow and Friday for
children of Key Workers only.
I hope that everyone has a lovely and restful half term break.
With very best wishes
