Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to you to regarding the increasing numbers of young people and adults
who are testing positive for COVID, particularly with the new Delta variant. This has
started to increase locally. Therefore, we need to continue to follow and adhere to
the expectations and guidance as set out by the government to keep everyone safe.

As a school, we want to support the national testing programme. We believe this will
help us to be as safe as possible and to remain open. Testing is in place for secondary
age pupils only. This is voluntary. If you would like your child to access Asymptomatic
testing, kits are available in school. Please contact Mrs Kale, Medical Needs Manager,
for further information.

I would like to remind parents/carers that if your child or any of your family
(household) show any symptoms, then that child must self-isolate for a minimum of
10 days. Should we have any children/staff who test positive in school, that
child/member of staff will need isolate for 10 days as will ‘close contacts’. Currently
we have no cases in school. Should the situation change, then I will inform parents, as
soon as possible.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes

Helen Ball
Headteacher
