Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to you to inform you that following another positive case of COVID in school and a number of staff being contacted to self-isolate, in discussion with the Local Authority and Governing Body, the school will be closed to pupils from tomorrow and learning activities will be accessed via the school website or work-packs for the last 3 days of this term.

This has been a hugely difficult decision as we would have wanted to remain open until the end of term. However with over 45 staff out currently we are not able to staff the school safely. The daily changes for our children have also had a significant effect. So in the best interests of staff and pupils, we have made the decision to move to remote learning. I recognise that this creates additional challenges for our families, and I very much appreciate all the support that you have given this year.

I will send a letter out later this week confirming the arrangements for September.
Pupils can access home learning activities via the school website. Please access this at and go into the learning zone.

Staff will be continuing to work and can be contacted until Friday.

The school office will remain open until the end of the week should parents need to contact the school.
