Year 9

This term Year 9 students will start science with an introduction to microscopes. They will have opportunities to use the microscope to focus on a range of pre-made slides and slides made by them and become proficient using them. In addition, they would explore the use of microscope in different workplaces and link this to vast knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 as a result of  the use of Microscope as the basis.

 Further more, they  will then make slides of both plant and animal cells and study the structure (organelles) of these. They will go on to look at specialised cells including sex cells.
